Review on Dealdey


Launched in March 2011, Dealdey is an online shopping store offering products and services at  ridiculously discounted rates. If you love awoof, this is certainly a place to visit.

This company offers exclusive deals on food,hotels, training and lots more and unarguably a pioneer
on the concept in Nigeria. However, this company is yet to overcome the problem of quality on a good number of products and services offered for sale to customers. Below are the reviews based on rated9JA's  experience.



Service Reach

Service currently available only in Lagos.

Comparison with competitors

Dealdey will have to touch on some critical things within its reach in order not to lose its market share to its aggressive competitors such as Jumia and Konga. Dealdey falls within 6-10 and never made rated9JA's top 5 online stores in Nigeria.

Website Platform

Just like many online stores, website offers all product and services available with a great design and high level of browser compatibility. Pictures  are in high quality and show detailed parts of products to customers.

However, a recent visit to deadey's website shows that customers are now being forced to drop their emails in order to continue shopping. This should be discouraged as soon as possible as many people who shop online may want to remain anonymous with their personal details considering how porous online can be.


Products & Services

This is a leading platform when it comes to getting deals like hotels and food in top places in Lagos. This is one of the reasons Rated9JA browse through dealdey daily. You just cannot find these hotel and food deals anywhere.

Great pictures are often used to show these while items sometime have up to 3 pictures in order for potential buyers to make informed decision before checking out. Rated9JA is convinced that products are still on display on this site even when they are out of stock.


Delivery Period

Unrealistic delivery period might apply at times based on what you ordered for. Rated9JA ordered for 3 whistle Key Finders and Floor mats sometimes in 2015 and after 3weeks of no feedback, we had to put a call through to dealdey. Apologies flew in and at the end, only the Whistle Key Finders were delivered after another 2 weeks while the money for the floor mats was refunded into dealdey's wallet without explanation. 

Quality Assurance

We are not convinced that there is any sort of quality check on products and services offered for sale by suppliers on this website. It took just 3days for the Whistle Key Finders to stop working after delivery. Also a car head lamp cleaning service ordered for took almost a month of back and forth and  at the end, even when the supplier came to clean the headlamp, no difference was noticed.

Compensation 

There is currently no plan for compensation whatsoever. You are at the mercy of the supplier so you are advised to always ensure to consider 'pay on delivery' just in case you are skeptical of your order.

Not so impressive. They will eventually solve your problem though but definitely not at your own time.

They offer an e-wallet service so you can fund at once to make future purchases so you never have to use your card every time.

Delivery Days

They only deliver on weekdays so if you are not sure of your availability during  weekdays you might want to delay your order until you are sure to avoid back and forth.

Advise to Company

Your major focus is to develop a check system on your suppliers as well as your supply chain in order to increase your quality score. Too many products and services ordered for are too whack apart from hotel and food deals. Customer service does not follow up when they promise to do. Customers are often left alone once payment is made.
